Hello and a very happy Autumn Equinox to you!
I hope you’ve enjoyed following along with our Autumn Equinox Retreat over the past week, I’ve really enjoyed sharing this time with you.
Today is the day we’ve been leading up to! I hope you all have a wonderful, restful, cosy Equinox day filled with all the magic the season has to offer.
I hope you can step outside for a moment or two, take a deep breath and enjoy this moment of balance in the year.
Then please do pop over to our private group chat to say hello or share an Autumnal Equinox photo from your part of the world. I’d love to see you there.
For you
To finish our week together I’ve taken an Autumnal wander around the internet and collected a basket full of links to lovely things I thought you might also enjoy. Here you go:
A free Autumn screensaver for your phone
I update my phone with a new seasonal wallpaper every couple of months and these free wallpapers by Laivi Poder are my absolute favourites. Every time I look at my phone, (which let’s face it, is VERY often) I get a nice cosy reminder of the season. I thought you might like these too. Some Ambient Autumn sounds for you
As you know, I love an ambient soundtrack and have been listening to this one all week. Here are a couple more I found for you: Autumn Coffee Shop, and Cosy Autumn Fireplace. These are the only soundtracks I can listen to while I’m writing. Switch them on and feel your shoulders relax. An Autumn poem
If you need a little help to really sink into this season of rest, Mary Oliver’s poem Song for Autumn should help. In fact, Mary Oliver poems usually help with most things. This might be one to save for a little later in the season, but it feels really soothing and calming to me; like an invitation to slow down and see the beauty in rest.
Some cosy seasonal art to lose yourself in
I want to live in the world that Lore Pemberton paints. I love the domestic peace and the tiny detail of her images. I go to her website any time I need to feel calm. Take a look at her website and lose yourself in her beautiful paintings for a little while. I thought you might like this one and this one. Some Autumn decor inspiration
I love seasonal decorations, but I tend to steer away from anything too ‘Halloweeny’ at this time of year. If you feel the same, and are looking for decorations that have a traditional, peaceful feel to them, try East End Press. Their Autumn collection is excellent. They have Autumn leaf garlands, Pumpkin and squash garlands, Samhain garlands, and so many more. I’ve just seen they’re currently offering 20% off your first order. (This is obviously not an ad, just one of my favourite secret shops that I’m sharing with you.)And finally, here’s a jar of hedgerow treasure, freshly picked from my garden for the Equinox. I’m sending these virtually your way as a big thank you for joining me this week.
Ok, I think that draws things to a close.
Don’t forget you can continue to access all the retreat newsletters on my site under the Seasonal Retreat Members tab at any time, so feel free to revisit any that you like.
If you enjoyed the week, please do tell a friend so our Seasonal Living Community can continue to grow and reach all those who might be in need of it.
For now though, a very Happy Autumn Equinox to you.
I’ll see you over in the chat,
Vicky xx
p.s. I’m already busy working away on our next retreat which will take place at the Winter Solstice, running from 16th - 21st December and I can’t wait to see you there. Pop it in your diary!
Thank you for creating a wonderful Autumnal space. I have just now caught up and it's been an absolute treat. I just love those Ambient videos on you tube. I often use them while I write. 😊
Thank you Victoria, you have created such a lovely, safe space to welcome the new season savouring little precious pleasures…🍁🍂🥰
