Happy Folklore February!
A month of magic and a book bundle giveaway
Two posts from me in two days! This is very unusual.
But there’s a good reason, as I just wanted to quickly let you know that today kicks off Folklore February, and to share a post I’ve written for Verbena Books, about the folk festival of Candlemas. See below!
What’s Folklore February I hear you say?
It’s month of magic courtesy of the excellent folk at Verbena Books. Throughout February they’ll be sharing ancient folklore from around the world, including four brand new bonus stories from some of their flagship authors.
Not only that, but they’re going to end the month by giving away a huge bundle of books, so you’ll want to be following along for that.
In case you didn’t know, Verbena are a gorgeous publishing house for books on wellbeing, nature, folklore and spirituality. So if you love all those things (of course you do, you’re reading this newsletter!) you’ll love their titles.
My latest book The Solstice Yearbook was published by them and they were a joy to work with. I only have good things to say about them.
Folklore February kicked off today with a post on the frosty folk festival of Candlemas (written by yours truly!) You can find out more about the month here and below are a few hints of what to expect from them:
So make sure to subscribe to Verbena’s page to kickstart your month of magic and get all the posts delivered straight to your inbox. ✨
Ok, that’s it from me!
Enjoy, and I’ll see you next month for a March edition of the Monthly Notebook. We’ll be celebrating the Spring Equinox which is a very lovely festival indeed. Look forward to seeing you there.

I’m always tempted to bring Snowdrops into the house but have resisted … so far!!
Great start to Verbena’s Folklore month … thanks. ✨
Thank you for sharing Victoria! It's a joy to work with you too. 🥹✨
