Hello and a very Happy Spring Equinox to you!
Did anyone manage to catch the sunrise this morning?
Here in the UK the sun is set to shine super bright today which feels like an excellent sign.
But if you missed the sunrise, don’t worry. With day and night being almost equal today, sunrise and sunset are equally filled with good energy.
In fact the entire day is filled with it. There’s enough magic flying around today for all to share.
And with that in mind, I have something exciting to share with you all…
I’m very happy to say I’ve written a new book! It’s called The Solstice Yearbook and it’s available for pre-order right now.

The Equinox is the perfect time for launching new and sparkly things, so I’m very pleased the timings have aligned to allow me to tell you all about it today.
The full title is The Solstice Yearbook: A year of rituals, festivals and ancient magic for modern life.
It’s packed with ideas, rituals and crafts to celebrate each of the Solstices and Equinoxes. You know how much I love them! So if you also enjoy all things Seasonal Living, then this book is for you.
As well as modern rituals I also dive into the mythology and ancient magic of each festival; there are Sun Gods and Goddesses to read about, seasonal folklore and eerie myths to explore. SO much good stuff.
There’s also a tasty seasonal recipe for each of the Solstices and Equinoxes. Much dedicated cake and biscuit testing was undertaken during the recipe-testing process. Don’t say I don’t suffer for my art!
I’ll share more details about the book in the coming weeks, but I just wanted to let you know about it here first, before anyone else!
The book will be available in shops from 2nd September (just in time for the Autumn Equinox) but you can actually pre-order your copy in some places from today onwards and it will land on your doorstep, like magic, on the day of publication.
Although the publication date is still a little way off, as I’m sure you all know, pre-orders are very important to authors, so if you do decide to place an order in advance then you have my heartfelt thanks and gratitude on this beautiful Spring day.
I also think there’s something very pleasing about ordering a book on the Spring Equinox for it to arrive just before the Autumn Equinox. Perfect seasonal balance.
